Individual Counselling

You don’t need to be in crisis to ask for help. You just need to be tired of carrying it all alone.

I work with adults —often high-functioning, often sensitive in the best ways — who are ready to understand why they feel the way they do.

I offer individual 1-to-1 counselling to adults age 19+ both in-person in Squamish, and online across BC. In person sessions are 50 minutes, and virtual therapy sessions can be 50 or 80 minutes long. I do not offer couples or relationship counselling.

Specialties

Nervous System Regulation for Anxiety and Big Emotions

Your nervous system is stuck in high gear, your thoughts are going in circles — even when nothing’s technically “wrong.” You might feel anxious, shut down, or like your emotions are too much (or totally missing). We’ll work with your body and your inner parts to find regulation, safety, and space to feel without spiraling. You don’t have to keep white-knuckling your way through it.

Counselling for People-Pleasing, Perfectionism and Boundaries

If you’re constantly anticipating others’ needs, afraid of disappointing people, or burning out from trying to get everything ‘just right’ — this one’s for you. These patterns often come from childhood experiences where your worth, belonging and acceptance felt conditional. They’re reinforced by the systems we’re trying to survive in. In therapy, we’ll honour the parts of you that learned to survive this way — and help you shift toward boundaries that protect you, so you can be authentically yourself.

Therapy for Attachment Trauma and Relationship Healing

If relationships feel confusing, triggering, or unsafe—you're not alone. Maybe you cling, maybe you avoid, maybe you’re constantly overanalyzing every interaction. That’s attachment trauma doing its thing. Using attachment trauma therapy, we’ll help you build internal safety, explore childhood (or more recent) wounds, and move from anxious or avoidant towards secure, healthy relationships with partners, family, friends, co-workers, and community.

Counselling for Deep Feelers, Highly Sensitive & Neurodivergent Folks

Maybe you’ve been told you're “too sensitive,” and maybe you’ve internalized that. If bright lights, loud rooms, and everyone else’s feelings leave you drained, you’re not “too much.” You’re wired for depth.

Whether you're a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), neurodivergent, or just deeply tuned in to the world, therapy can help you unmask, decompress, and finally feel like there’s nothing wrong with how you're wired. (Because there isn’t). I often work with other therapists, healers, and folks who spend their days trying to make the world a better place because they care deeply.

What to Expect in Somatic Trauma Therapy

Therapy with me is experiential and collaborative. I blend Somatic Experiencing® (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), two experiential trauma therapies based in neuroscience. These help your whole system — mind, body, and every inner “part” — feel seen, supported, and safe enough to shift.

Why weave these approaches together? Insight is great — embodied change is better. We don’t just talk about what’s happening; we feel our way into something new. In session, there might be a moment of playful curiosity — “Let’s see what that inner critic is trying to achieve for you” — followed by a pause to sense your breath, your heartbeat, your body settling. This is trauma therapy in motion: not just insight, but transformation through felt experience.

In our work together, I’ll invite you to:

  • Reconnect with your body’s wisdom and befriend your emotions

  • Build awareness of the beliefs and patterns that are shaping your life

  • Develop emotional and nervous system regulation

  • Get to know the different “parts” of you — especially the ones that feel anxious, stuck, or self-critical — and help them to soften

  • Create and integrate new emotional and felt experiences in session, so new patterns can take root

Counselling with me can help you to:

  • Build more self-trust, self-worth, and emotional resilience

  • Work with anxiety in ways that bring relief rather than burnout

  • Set healthy boundaries and identify your own needs (not just others’)

  • Understand and shift your attachment patterns so relationships feel more secure

  • Work with emotions as messengers, not problems

  • Find more ease in your body and help your nervous system to regulate
